Chapter 7: More Meghan Facts
It must be pretty hard dating a prince, so who can you talk to about it? Well, someone else who has gone through the same thing! Although Harry didnât tell his brother William about his and Meghanâs relationship for some time, when he finally did, Wills and Kate couldnât wait to meet Meghan. As they live just a stoneâs throw from one another, the two couples met up a number of times, and all got on really well. Kate was particularly helpful to Meghan as she had already experienced pretty much everything Meghan was going through - and arguably with an even greater intensity.
Meghan is a University graduate, having attended Northwestern University. According to available information, the university is a private research university, with its main campus being based in Evanston, Illinois. There are other campuses as well - in Chicago and Qatar (in the countryâs capital, Doha) and the institution even has academic programs and facilities in and facilities in Miami, Florida, Washington, D.C., and San Francisco! Meghan studied communications, obtaining her degree in 2003 - something that will surely come in very handy in her role as a royal, speaking to people from all cultures across the world. Something that was considered somewhat taboo many years ago was the subject of divorce; in fact one of the greatest royal scandals of the last two centuries was King Edward VIII wanted to marry Wallis Simpson, an American divorcee. The kingâs love for what the British Government saw as an âunsuitable consortâ led to Edward having to choose between his throne and the woman he loved. Ultimately, in December 1936, Edward chose to give up his right to the throne so he could marry Simpson and the two stayed together until he died 35 years later. The fact that Meghan Markle is a divorcee, having previously been married to film producer Trevor Engelson, is not such an important factor in the modern age, however she is still the first divorcee to marry so highly into the royal family.
When it comes to royal relationships, one thing we all want to know about is the engagement ring. In this case, Harry have Meghan a custom-made number from
